The PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course will teach you effective ways to find objects underwater and bring them to the surface. Small, large or just awkward, there is a way to bring them up.
Learn how to effectively surface objects while maintaining perfect bouyancy control over both yourself and the recovered object. Not only are these skills fun, but very practical and ultimately useful because eventually, you’ll lose something in the water. As a Search and Recovery Diver, you’ll know how to search for and recover it.

All certified divers holding PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Certifications or Junior Open Water with Underwater Navigation Specialty, or an equivalent qualification with another diver training agency are eligible to take the PADI Self-Reliant Diver Distinctive Specialty Course.
Certification requires the completion of several skills to be performed during three open water dives, anything that gets misplaced underwater from dive equipment to golf balls and even small boat anchors can be recoverd using the techniques learned in this course, and Search & Recovery "missions" are the first way many divers earn get to earn monery from scuba diving!
